Imagine a place ...........

Imagine walking along an overgrown lane as though to a secret garden and at its end it opens up to magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. This is what Sophie and I found in Italy when looking for a holiday home in June 2010. Immediately the stresses of everyday life are lifted from your shoulders and a peaceful calm descends. We still have the same release on every visit.
The decision was made there and then and we purchased the site. The ruin at the top of the plot was not a thing of beauty and we nicknamed it 'the bunker'. We were relaxed about doing the development and sited a caravan alongside the ruin for family holidays. After I was made redundant and a serious illness in 2013 we decided that life is too short and embarked on the planning and building process. It took us a further two years to get to breaking ground in July 2015.
